For a detailed explanation of elective categories, see the page on BA electives.

CS Elect*: These must be from among the following courses: CS-3410, CS-3212, CS-3313CS-3411, CS-4233.

For technical track courses, see the technical track page.

2nd Major Elective: Do not choose any of: BADM 2301, ISTM: 4120, 4121, 4123, or STAT 1129.

The BA program is designed for students with interests in two or more disciplines. Accordingly, students in the Computer Science BA program must elect either:

  • A second major, or at least 33 credit hours of coursework in a secondary field
  • Two secondary fields, each of at least 15 credit hours

Significant Independent Project:

Students pursuing a BA in Computer Science must complete a significant independent project. Thus, you must either:

  • complete a course in the second major that includes a thesis or significant project, or
  • complete CSci 4243 and CSci 4244

In both cases, you need the approval of your CS advisor.
