Dr. Hoffman inducted to the Cyber Security Hall of Fame

Dr. Lance Hoffman was inducted to the Cyber Security Hall of Fame in a ceremony held October 20 in Baltimore, MD.  Prof. Hoffman’s success in developing the nation’s first regularly offered university course on computer security was cited, as were his authorship/editorship of books on the state of cyber security and privacy, and his research on cryptography policy, risk analysis, and statistical inference for data mining.  More information on Prof. Hoffman and the other 2016 inductees is available on the National Cyber Security Hall of Fame website.
